LORD & TAYLOR STAMFORD CT IN THE FINAL STAGES OF A MAJOR MODERNIZATION

Lord & Taylor, a retail industry icon since 1862, is in the final stages of its massive renovation to the company’s Stamford store, one of its earliest branch locations. The renovation, which began in early 2015, touches all three levels of the store and is being designed to have a more intuitive flow, new finishes, upgraded services, and the best and most current male/female design labels for casual, sport, and formal wear, in addition to Lord & Taylor’s signature shoe department, jewelry and accessories.
 
“Since 1969, Lord & Taylor Stamford has been a destination within Fairfield County and an important location for our company. I am excited to update the shopping experience for today’s customer,” said Liz Rodbell, President, Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay. “This renovation will deliver a sensational shopping experience for the community to enjoy for many years to come.”
 
As the building façade’s banners state, “Nothing Stands in the Way of Fashion”. It’s been business as usual throughout the renovation process with some slight in-store traffic re-routing and creative planning. Annual sale days and added promotions have kept shoppers engaged and privy to the progress made. In anticipation of the Grand Opening event (TBD), which will lead into the holiday season, the show continues to go on with a series of in-store and community driven events.

This two-day shopping event to benefit the American Cancer Society will include a fashion presentation celebrating the spirit and beauty of those who have survived cancer, modeling looks from Lord & Taylor’s fall fashion collections. Additionally, stores will offer special discounts, local entertainment, gifts with purchase opportunities, activities, refreshments and so much more!
