March 28, 2019, Brewster, NY: Ace Endico, the largest food distributor in Westchester and Putnam Counties, looks forward to the warm weather embrace of turned soil, new crops, and the seasonal bounty that  New York State farms and Metro-NY farms so beautifully produce year after year. Ace Endico is a proud member of the Pride of New York, a state-run program which began in 2015 and unites growers and producers of New York grown or produced products with wholesalers, retailers and end users.
 
Local farm partners include; Satur Farms, 160 acres of nutrient-rich soil since 1997 and a long time vendor for Ace Endico, located on the “North Fork” of Long Island and rich in salad greens, root vegetables, heirloom tomatoes and herbs;  Hepworth Farms, a seventh-generation organic family farm in Milton, NY with over 500 acres of NOFA-certified land producing many varieties of organic vegetables but specializing in tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, cucumbers,  and many varieties of greens; Wallkill View Farms, 400 acres in New Paltz, NY, a third-generation farm operating since 1960 by the Ferrante family, which supplies Ace Endico with local corn, pumpkins, squash, and more; Jerry Shulman Produce, home of the well-known “Jerry’s Pride” label specializing in round white potatoes grown on Long Islands “North Fork”. Solar panels are used to operate their Cutchogue packing shed facility; and many more such as Dagele Brothers, Deer Run, Koppert Cress, and Intergrow Greenhouses.

 
Year-round producers are also plentiful with such sourcing companies as; Rockhedge Herb Farm which sources herbs locally when in season and from Florida to Hawaii, which are then cleaned and packed in their state of the art packing facility in Pleasant Valley, NY; and Lucky’s Real Tomatoes, family owned and based in Brooklyn NY, supplying American grown, never gassed, never picked green, farm to fork tomatoes using their own farms in Florida and a network of partner farms up the east coast and transporting the tomatoes in their own trucks within a day or two of picking. Ace Endico distributes Hudson Valley Fresh Dairy, which strongly supports sustainable agriculture and is currently preserving 7000 acres of open land throughout Columbia, Dutchess, and Ulster Counties. Owned by farmers and their families, Hudson Valley Fresh farms continue to win numerous awards in recognition of their efforts to maximize cow comfort and ensure facility cleanliness, allowing them to provide a minimally pasteurized, non-standardized whole milk and dairy products. Hudson Valley Fresh farms include; Bos-Haven Farm, Coon Brothers Dairy, Domino Farm, Dutch Hollow, Plankenhorn, Shenandoah, Stormfield Swiss, Tollgate, Triple Creek , Walt’s Dairy, and Willow Brook Farms.
 
Ace Endico continues to purchase product on a daily basis from the Hunts Point Terminal Produce Market, a food service cornerstone since 1967. The market receives product direct from local farms throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.  
 
Ace Endico is a HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points) approved facility with a recent ASI Food Safety audit score of 99%. Ace Endico is honored to have received the Great Place to Work Certification.
