Brick + Wood of Fairfield Announces Guest Chef Series from July thru December 2015
June, 22, 2015, Fairfield, CT: Early in 2015, Fairfield’s newest culinary game-player, Brick + Wood, launched a Guest Chef Series inviting local Chefs to collaborate with Chef/Owner Paolo Cavalli on a special pizza to be offered once a month. The series has received increased popularity among locals who look to the eatery for classic Neapolitan pizza and street food, perfectly chilled on-tap wine, and a casual atmosphere to relax and enjoy.
Each Chef in the previous lineup enjoyed bringing their culinary spin to the traditional Neapolitan pie. Brick + Wood’s open format kitchen and mozzarella bar allows guests to watch both Chefs at work and interact with them as they make each pie to order. So far they’ve offered out-of-the-box creations like a Poutine Pizza by Chef Howard McCall of Washington Prime, a Charred Octopus Pizza by Chef Matt Storch of Match, and a Pork Belly and Short Rib Chorizo Pizza by Chef Tim Scott of Geronimo Tequilla Bar and Southwest Grill. Each Guest Chef evening often sells out of the special pie with nearly 45+ served each night.
With the warm weather, Brick + Wood now opens their garage doors creating a NYC-like dining experience that opens to a petite patio dining area. The daily specials feature lighter fare with items like a watermelon tower with house made burrata from their mozzarella bar and an heirloom tomato, pesto and burrata pizza. Expect seasonal sangrias on-tap, craft cocktails, and beer selections.
