October 6, 2021, Greenwich, CT: Green & Tonic, the plant-based eatery with 6 locations throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties, prepares to celebrate its 10-year anniversary. What began as a simple concept - fresh, vibrant, and delicious foods for a healthy lifestyle, has since blossomed into an exciting addition to the local dining scene.

Green & Tonic first introduced its superfoods-powered menu in January of 2012 in Darien, CT. This unassuming little space made its mark in town, resonating with consumers whose diets included gluten-free, vegan, organic, and clean eating. Salads, wraps, and sweet and savory snacks were featured along with cold-pressed juices, nutritional meal programs, and detox cleanse programs. Ultimately, the food concept succeeded by providing a nutritionally sound product that was appealing to everyone – no matter one’s healthy radar frequency and reinforcing that taste does matter.

Green & Tonic Cos Cob opened in 2017, followed by Westport in 2018. In 2019, the Green & Tonic brand was purchased by Palm Foods, no stranger to the healthy foodservice segment and whose portfolio includes MYX Creative Kitchen in Greenwich, CT. In 2021, Green & Tonic added Fairfield and Rye, NY to the group. New Canaan is slated to open its doors this month. The main commissary is located in Stamford where the bulk of its packaged items and signature foods are made, ensuring quality and consistency across all store locations. Jarred soups, Supr Brew™, bakery items, and grab-and-go meals are prepared fresh daily and delivered to Green & Tonic eateries.

“Green & Tonic is rooted in plant-based superfood ingredients, and we are thrilled to be able to answer the call for how people are eating today. But, at the end of day, it’s the ability to provide this type of food in a creative, delicious, and accessible manner that fuels our stores and our customers,” says Gabriel Sorgi, President of Green & Tonic, “Our menu is chef-designed, seasonally inspired, and constantly evolving.”

The Green & Tonic experience begins with a design aesthetic that is warm, inviting, and friendly. Each location will undergo renovations in 2022, embracing its distinctive spaces while maintaining Green & Tonic’s unique brand footprint. Indoor/outdoor seating and free Wi-Fi are offered. Signature menu items include “create your own” acai bowls and superfood smoothies, oatmeal and quinoa breakfast bowls, and Green & Tonic’s new breakfast sandwiches made with house-baked gluten-free focaccia, plant-based egg and cheese alternative, optional beyond sausage, and avocado. Seasonal soups (creamy cauliflower and turmeric), collagen and immune boost broths, vibrant salads (pad Thai salad tossed with rice noodles, kale, nappa cabbage, red peppers, carrots, edamame, scallions, and almond butter dressing), wraps and snacks (curry chickpea side salad), share the stage with from-scratch gluten free bakery items and power snacks, including chocolate glazed donuts (half the fat/calories/sugar of similar Dunkin Donut products), collagen bars, and anytime cookies, all packed with high nutrition nut butters and milk, fruit-based sweeteners, gluten-free flours (oat, nut, flax, rice, and more), and all-natural ingredients.

This past summer Green & Tonic introduce Supr Pops™, their all-natural frozen fruit popsicles loaded with ingredients that support skin health and muscle function, among other benefits.  Green & Tonic’s proprietary bottled cold Supr Brew™ (Vanilla Latte, Cold Brew Coffee, Matcha Latte, and Mocha) also hit the shelves this year, giving commercial coffee brands a run for their money. Blended with oat milk and organic coffee, additional superfood boosters include chaga, cordyceps, and matcha, and other natural immune and energy boosters. This season’s popular Pumpkin Spice Latte is already hitting the mark with its simple recipe and half the fat, calories, sugars, and carbs than Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts.  Macros information for all items (calories, protein, fat, carbs, and sugar) can be found on the Green & Tonic website and on its food packaging.

A new fall menu was recently introduced and planning for catered holiday events is underway!

Green & Tonic continues to evolve with its consumer base and stay in tune with, if not ahead of, today’s best healthy food practices and trends.
