Ace Endico Celebrates the Holidays with Fine Food, a Look Back, and Plans for the Future
New Director of Specialty Ingredients, Steve D’Onofrio Joins the Ace Endico Team

 
December 3, 2018, Brewster, NY: People coming together over great food is no better illustrated than throughout the holiday season. Ace Endico, the largest food distributor in Westchester and Putnam Counties, has the distinct pleasure of providing chefs, country clubs, hotels, specialty markets, and caterers throughout the tri-state area with premium products, vibrant produce, market fresh fish, quality meats, dairy, and prepared foods during this celebratory time of year.
 
Family owned and operated, Ace Endico continues to enjoy long-standing relationships with quality food brands, including an impressive portfolio of family-owned fine Italian imports such as; Colavita, founded by Giovanni and Felice Colavita in 1938 in their small olive mill in the village of Sant’Elia a Pianisi in the Molise region of Italy; Greci & Folzani, producers of Parma ham since 1963, from the town of Felino in the Province of Parma; Molino Grassi flours and semolinas which began in 1934 in Emilia Romagna, the most important cereal-growing region of Northern Italy; Perugina chocolates, produced in Perugia since 1907, a Buitoni family tradition which continues to evolve; and Fabbri, a fifth-generation artisan food company which began  producing fruit syrups, liqueur cherries, and Jams in 1905 in Bologna.

Joining the Ace Endico team in their state-of-the-art facility, which houses their main warehouse, test kitchens, and chefs, is Steven D’Onofrio, Director of Specialty Ingredients. Steven brings over 25 years of food industry experience to Ace Endico and was most recently the Managing Director of Gellert Global Group’s Swiss Chalet Fine Foods in Doral, Florida where his focus was elevating their fine food selections for the professional chef and kitchen. A 1993 graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education, Steven served as Pastry Chef in major hotels and restaurants throughout New York City and California, taught pastry arts at the French Culinary Institute for six years, and served as the Executive Director of the U.S. Pastry Alliance from 2000-2003. Steven has been on the sales, business, and product development side of the food industry for such industry leaders as Valrhona USA, Harry Wils & Company, and the Atalanta Corporation, a division of GGG.
 
 “My focus will begin with revamping Ace Endico’s baking line to ensure we have the fullest range of top quality ingredients available to our customers who do in-house baking or have a pastry chef,” says Steven, “This includes the categories for chocolate, fruit products, nut flours and pastes, glazes, sugars, flavorings, vanilla products, mixes, food coloring, stabilizers, decorations, tart and chocolate shells, and more.”
 
This new addition to the Ace Endico team further reinforces the company’s on-going commitment to providing the best possible service and products possible.
